ABOUT US Integrated Laser Systems (ILS) has been in the machine manufacturing business since 1991. We have ten machines in our cutting facility, and can run any samples. We do all manufacturing and assembly in-house in our new 25,000 sq/ft facility. We have a full laminating service with a 60" roll-to-roll laminator as well as in-house slitting capabilities. We are one of the largest converters of fabrics for laser cutting. We sell over 100,000 yards of fabric per year. All of our laser cutter parts are made on "state of the art" CNC machines. All aluminum parts are anodized, and all steel parts are powder coated. We use stainless steel hardware throughout the entire machine. The machines have fresh air inlets, side extraction, and under extraction. Custom configuration is available on all machines. We supply an 8" blower with the machine. We can supply larger blowers or multiple blowers if needed. The machines also have a purge air system at the nozzle. Working with our optics supplier and piggy backing on the US Army, we developed new coatings for the optics which are more reflective and more durable. These new coatings are resistant to the Acids and gases produced from cutting certain plastics and coatings. We also have a drawer, roll feed, and other features available. We are also working very closely with our control board manufacturers to make a custom card in order to generate the PWM power control directly. This would allow us to tweak the pulse width for special applications. This project will be completed in 2009. We are also working on new software which will run in Corel Draw and AutoCad, as a printer driver, with a later version that will run in Adobe. ILS moved seven years ago to our new 25,000 sq ft facility in Summerville, Ga. We are on our own road in the industrial park, Laser Lane. We have 12 acres for further growth and development.
1998 - Current Integrated Laser Systems, Inc. Steve Widincamp formed the company in 1998 from a division of Handler Textile Corporation. We originally worked out of Handler's facility. We supplied them with all of their cutting and expanded into our own customer base. In 1999 we moved to a our own building in Cumming, Ga. We steadily grew and ended up occupying both suites of our building. We expanded on the previous work at Handler in the application of laser technology to our customers’ manufacturing processes. We worked hard to develop the customer base and increased sales the first year. In 2000 we expanded the company to three divisions, cutting, fabric, and machine sales and parts manufacturing. ILS introduced several new products to the market and developed new laser processes for our core industry. In 2002 ILS designed, developed, and built its own CNC laser cutting system. In 2003 we moved to our new 25,000 sq. ft. facility in Summerville Ga. We are now producing ten to twelve machines of our own design annually. We also manufacture refit kits for older, out of date laser cutters, as well as upgrade kits to put larger lasers in older machines. We are continually striving to produce the world’s finest laser cutting systems that are simple to operate and simple to maintain. We have a long-standing reputation in the industry for our excellent customer support, especially after the sale. In fact, over 80% of our Machine customers are repeat buyers. We form long-term partnerships with our customers. Your success is our success! Personal History: 1995 - 1998 Director Twill and Laser Division, Handler Textiles Inc.Steve Widincamp was recruited in 1995 to head up a new laser cutting division for the NBA program. He developed new cutting processes to increase customer production by 60%. We sold this process to all of the largest producers of athletic apparel in the US. We worked closely with customers to develop new machinery and production processes. HTC formed a partnership with CCT in the U.K. to distribute their laser cutting equipment through the HTC sales network. We sold twelve machines the first quarter and became the largest distributor for CCT. ILS purchased the laser division and formed Integrated Laser Systems from it. 1990-1995 Laser Division Manager, Gunold & Stickma Inc. Steve Widincamp was recruited to start the Laser division for Gunold’s US operations. He worked closely with a English company to develop some of the first laser cutters specifically designed for the textile market. It took about a year to refine the product enough for the market. He also developed special material coatings and handling methods to assist in the cutting process. He worked closely with software programmers to make the machines easy to operate and maintain. The first year we sold four machines, and by the time he left in 1995, we had sold over forty-five machines. He installed all of the machines, and also traveled with the sales force to train and promote our new products. He was hired away by Handler. |
